Isn’t this platform fucking amazing. To set up an anarchist website or a syndicalist portal such as this one, you need to be able to deal with a content management system when you’re done herding cats organising and then doing all the writing and editing, As anyone who goes the effort of doing so would know, once you’re done with all of that, you have to publicise it, which is by far the most gruesome stage of all.
If someone had said to me back when I had hair, one day there will be anarchist syndication, I would have said, ahaha yeah and the ASF will stop requiring you to have read the collected works of Rudolf Rocker and listened to self-appointed pub gurus relive the 1990 tram dispute for the thousandth time working on a beer belly before you’re allowed to be in need of unions without bureaucrats or capitalists. Nothing like syndication for getting around gatekeeping and paranoid control freaks who seem to think questioning their authority makes you hostile to the abolition of constraint.
I’m on the dole, I have multiple intervention orders on me for making complaints about workplace bullying at the contract that finally deep-sixed my research career. Fuck it . . . anarchist syndication means I can sit on the dole and use all the research skills that used to go to neoliberal technocrats in academia for the good of the class struggle. What’s not to love. We all benefit from the work the anarchistfederation.net admins do every day, and they do it because they give one fuck, not because of all the thanks they get, or because it’s a path to glory and riches. What’s not to love.
