Bill Hicks (born December 16, 1961, Valdosta, Georgia—died February 26, 1994, Little Rock, Arkansas) was an American stand-up comedian who was considered a “comedian’s comedian” and who was a star in Britain, though he never experienced wide success in the United States during his career in the 1980s and early 1990s.
