The U.S. military has carried out airstrikes on three vessels it says were engaged in narco-trafficking operations linked to designated terrorist organizations. U.S. Southern Command confirmed that eleven men were killed in the strikes across the Eastern Pacific and Caribbean. The operation marks the seventh such strike this year, bringing the total to 41 maritime strikes and 144 fatalities in the ongoing campaign, as per reports. President Donald Trump has described the fight against Latin American cartels as an “armed conflict,” while Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said recent kinetic actions have disrupted trafficking networks.
