Some dero || Life is a bit of a tradeoff, isn’t it? On one hand, we have our individual autonomy and collective autonomy as a class, each a condition of the other. One the other hand, we have a steady stream of consumer durables and middle-class respectability. The choice is obvious. Like, why would you not choose consumerism. Inadequate consumers always point the finger at the game and never back at themselves.
Yeah I would hate myself if I didn’t have a real estate investment portfolio for a personality as well. Praise the Dollar I do. My personality runs to eight digits. A poor player always blames the game. Let’s not even get started on people who can’t do the performative make-believe of cults. Try reading a script sometime.
The thing that woke snowflakes need to understand is that life is a game dictated by nature. It is the natural order of things that life be a game, a competition even. A pitched battle for ultimate supremacy and the unfettered domination of all life, without and within. A harvesting of souls for accumulation of nature’s bounty. God has commanded it so; he rules through the power of his earthy overlords I mean representatives, ruling atop positively sacred social and class hierarchies, personal boundaries not so much.
The fact of the matter is that hierarchies are ordained by God. They reflect the natural order as dictated by the apex predators at the top, without whom the rest of society who does all the work to keep everything going would not be able to function. God is love and reconstructing harm as beneficial to the victim. Please keep paying tribute I mean taxes, all your unpaid and unrecognised domestic care labour, and all the value you create in your work minus the small percentage we pay back as a wage. We might have to get a job ourselves otherwise; you bet we’re busy looking for a parasite label to stick on anyone else.
This may sound insane, but that fact is that gaslighting is the Noble Lie. Lying in the name of any greater good you can think of is the Divine Right of those who exercise raw power with the leave of powers who love nature so much they choose to exist beyond any part of it that can prove their existence scientifically. I choose to believe it because it is absurd. Work will set you free. Obedience to the law is freedom. Freedom is slavery. Make-believe and acting out is transcendence of alienation and emancipation. Reality is whatever the collectively paranoid groupthink of national ingroups says it is. What part of any of this is hard for ideological nonconformists to understand, snowflakes?
Is this not why we buy things? The Dollar Almighty is our saviour and our redeemer after all. The might of my real estate investment portfolio makes the right of my personality. I personally am one of God’s chosen people, his will speaks through my ability to hoard real estate. He speaks through my ability to intimidate and coerce my workforce, my ability to break strikes such that peasants will bend to my will. Peasants will bend the knee to their true lord and master, to God’s agent on Earth.
So as I was saying, we all like to worship at the altar. Anyone who doesn’t is a loser who can’t win the rat race, fake it until they make it or just fake it for the sake of making it period. The tradeoff for your freedom, and my real estate investment portfolio inclusive of my personality, is material abundance. We should all worship our abundance, especially when it means you have to get up and get on our work treadmills to service all the debt you accrue such that you might abound in it. The bank and credit card company still owns most of it, and you.
Some of you might feel this is a trap. Some of you might feel as though jumping on the social mobility bandwagon and getting up to your eyeballs in debt for middle-class respectability and the codependence of social cliques wasn’t everything it was made out to be. No one mentioned the initial buzz of the new wonder drug of status wearing off, and requiring more inputs for less effect per evolution into the management stage. In the cold light of day, life is predictable and there’s not so much disposable income to feed a growing alienation monster with.
This is unfortunately paradoxical, as clawing our way into the middle classes should be rewarded with consumer durables. One might even go so far as to say that the whole point of having an alienation monster growing inside is to increase the amount of consumer durables we’re throwing into the bottomless pit of our alienation. What would even the point be of having a growing alienation monster inside if not for the ability to feed it? It is certainly regrettable that we at the top are taking so much that you have no disposable income left to feed the alienation monster with, but we don’t regret it that much really. Yes absolutely check that notification that just popped up, by all means.
There is no need for loyal consumers to feel like you are being led down the garden path, sold short, left holding the bag, strung along by the nose, led easily, provoked easily, frightened easily, manipulated, herded like cattle. There is certainly no need for honest social climbers and debt servicers to feel like you’ve made a deal with the devil, that middle-class respectability is a conceit to mask debt-entrapment and servitude.
If you run out of disposable income for the consuming you traded your freedom for, because we’re squeezing you so hard, just start feeding the alienation monster people: anyone your clique can exclude, anyone an exclusionary clique can be built in opposition to, anyone from a limited demographic who can’t easily defend themselves in number, anyone who is different, anyone who is hard to understand. You get the idea. Immigrants are an excellent scapegoat; they are an increasingly popular choice for a reason.
We’re all getting bummed out by the wheels falling off the bandwagon of endless upward class mobility. Turns out you can’t have endless growth on a finite planet after all. Causality is a communist prejudice it seems, which is weird considering God also made the Dollar and my birthright to dominate all life.
Trading freedom in for consumerism and getting on the rat race bandwagon is all beer and skittles in discarding toxic rat race losers when you make it, but it’s probably natural to have buyer’s remorse and a tantrum when you discover a deal made in bad faith has unintended negative consequences. We can still have it both ways though; if you can’t fuck people over getting ahead, fuck them over because you can’t. Why change who you are when you can just change gears.

Looking up and smiling, reassured and in the know: And then the entire social order collapses
