Die Plattform || Last weekend, we hosted our 14th congress as a federation. Delegates from our local groups and initiatives traveled from various cities to represent their groups at the congress.
The day before, we gathered in a relaxed atmosphere, especially since some had a long and tiring journey. During our meal together, we met familiar and new faces, fortified ourselves for the upcoming days of the conference, and were happy to see each other again in person and finally get to know one another.
On the first day of the congress, all local groups and initiatives reported on their current group processes and interventions. We exchanged ideas intensively about our interventions, discussing and consulting on how we can make them more strategic and how to define them precisely.
Furthermore, we collectively addressed criticism within the organization and jointly developed a roadmap for tackling it. We thoroughly reviewed the reports on the work of the past few months in our working groups and mandates, collectively offered constructive criticism, and discussed ways to improve our work.
At the conference venue, we had the opportunity to relax in the garden between sessions and take a short break from federation work. During breaks and in the evenings, we spent a lot of time together, exchanging ideas and getting to know each other better. There was a lot of laughter, singing, and games; it was very motivating and enriching to see each other again and to work together to advance the future work of our federation.
On the last day, there was an exchange within our organized critique of masculinity, to which all cis-male comrades in the Federation are encouraged to participate, but which is also open to women and TINA (No Alternative) individuals. Simultaneously, the women and TINA individuals of the Federation met together and discussed feminist topics that are currently relevant to us within the Federation.
We look back on an empowering and motivating weekend, our backpacks packed with new ideas and a thirst for action.
Let’s advance organized anarcha-communism. Together onward to libertarian communism!
