The private empire of capital, with its wholly-owned subsidiary in Washington DC, depends on the continued flow of oil. The value of the dollar is kept artificially high as a result of demand created by OPEC’s agreement with Kissinger to only trade oil in US dollars, the one they signed onto in 1973.

Is what why they have been so deafeningly silent in their geopolitical bystanding throughout the Palestinian Genocide? Because they’re complicit? Is that why green capitalism and ecotechnocracy are utopias, because as long as there are dollars, there has to be oil? Can world capitalism function without massive and decisive intervention by the state? What happens to the US dollar when the oil runs out? Does the middle east subsidise its own invasions?

There is No Master Plan: Is the US Playing 1D Chess to Maintain the Petro-Dollar?

If you’re good and do your one job you can have a fillet-o-fish sandwich at the resolute desk after your nap. Say anarchists are terrorists again

In this episode of Colonial Outcasts, we’re joined by Elina Xenophontos to break down one of the biggest narratives circulating right now: that the United States is executing some kind of grand strategy to preserve the petro-dollar through global energy blockades, military escalation, and economic warfare.

We’re here to challenge that idea. From the escalating tensions with Iran to the deployment of additional carrier strike groups, the so-called “blockade,” and ongoing threats of further military action, we take a hard look at what’s actually happening—and whether any of it resembles a coherent long-term plan. Is this 4D chess… or something much simpler?

We discuss:

The reality behind the US “blockade” of Iran
Why the petro-dollar “master plan” theory doesn’t hold up
Military escalation and contradictions in US strategy
The role of chaos, miscalculation, and short-term decision making
How online narratives can overestimate state competence

If you’ve been hearing that everything is part of a carefully orchestrated imperial strategy—this episode is for you.
