PPSWU Solidarity Group || The Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union is a democratic union which has worked to improve the lives of postal workers in the West Bank and Gaza since it was founded in 2010.

We are a group of communications and postal workers who are directly connected with the Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union (PPSWU), member of the Communications Workers Union — Palestine.

We are launching this fundraiser to support them in their efforts to improve the lives of postal workers and their neighbors in the West Bank and Gaza. PPSWU has relationships with other independent labor unions in Palestine, and is officially affiliated with UNI Global Union.

Union workers from the United States traveled to Palestine in May 2025 and had the privilege of meeting postal workers in Nablus, Bethlehem, and Hebron in the West Bank. We made friendships, laughed together, talked about our lives as workers, and learned about the conditions for Palestinian workers. Since that time, conditions in the West Bank and Gaza have deteriorated and become more severe.

Here is a message from the Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union to union workers in the United States:

Warm greetings from Palestine.

Regarding the fundraising effort, we deeply appreciate this initiative and your solidarity with our people during these difficult times. We would like to kindly propose launching a campaign to support the following urgent needs:

  1. Providing job opportunities and humanitarian aid for workers in the technology, telecommunications, and postal sectors, by contributing to partial salary payments for affected workers.
  2. Supporting the Kindergarten Workers’ Union, whose members are all women. The union is struggling to rebuild its internal structure and hold its general conference, as most of its members have lost their jobs and urgently need assistance.
  3. Launching a recovery and peace education program for schoolchildren and teenagers in southern Hebron, to help them overcome the psychological effects of war, continue their education, and promote a culture of peace and resilience.
  4. Organizing the General Conference of the Postal Workers Union, which is a critical step in strengthening our organizational structure and future advocacy.

These initiatives will be implemented based on the amount of funds raised. We also welcome any direct oversight or involvement from your side in the execution of these programs.

With deep gratitude and respect,
PPSWU

We will post updates and photos as the money is dispersed. If our fundraising effort is successful, we will add more projects that the PPSWU is interested in pursuing.

Solidarity Forever!
